Bio
Bob has been an athlete for his whole life, and fitness and health is super important to him on a daily basis. He is a masters athlete (55+) in multiple sports (Swimming, Track, CrossFit) and was able to maintain that activity while working full time in the high tech startup world in the San Francisco Bay Area. In mid 2022, he and his wife retired to the Bend area where he has increased his focus on his own health and fitness as well as focusing on helping others with their fitness and health goals.
Bob has been an active Crossfit athlete since 2012, and a part–time coach of CrossFit group classes since 2018. He was an accomplished springboard diver from age 9 through college and now helps young kids of similar starting ages at a local swim and fitness center in town.
Bob is always willing to talk about fitness, especially as it relates to running. He has even created special running instructional classes, focusing on running technique and breathing. You will also find Bob on the ski slopes in the winter and the mountain bike trails in the summer, two of his other passions. And when he is not doing those activities or coaching, you will find him hiking the many trails in the area with his wife.
Bob wants to help others fulfill their fitness potential, at any age, and to allow them to become the best athlete they can. He also wants to be a role model for older athletes, showing you can be older and still be athletic and fit (and injury free), and to be able to do the activities that you love into your later years.
