  • What makes Fortitude Fitness Training different?

Travis started Fortitude Fitness Training because he truly cares about your wellbeing. His positive, welcoming demeanor will make you feel welcome and like you're part of his family.

He wants to share his knowledge and experience so he can help keep you safe, guide you through workouts, teach you how to maintain your body and fitness, and have fun doing it!

  • Am I too out of shape for this type of training?

No. Whether you’re straight off the couch with no experience, coming off an injury or just haven’t been as active as you would like, we’ll meet you where you are and will make a plan that’s right for you.

  • Is this kind of training for me?

Regardless of your current fitness or ability level, we’re here to meet you where you are. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey, are post-rehab from an injury, or an elite athlete, our goal is to help you reach your next fitness goal.

  • What kind of training is provided?

Fortitude Fitness Training Owner and Head Coach Travis Weaver has studied multiple disciplines within the fitness world.

As a result, clients are guided through a complete workout experience that is designed to include pain reduction, increase performance and will leave you feeling good! Workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements designed to improve strength, speed, power, flexibility, coordination, endurance, stamina, accuracy, agility and balance.

  • I'm not in very good shape, can I do this?

The very first thing you will discover is that our workouts do not discriminate. Whether you are young at heart, have just completed your 50th marathon, are recovering from injury, whether walking the dog is the only exercise you’ve had in years, or if you’re training for the Iditarod…We will help you achieve your fitness goals.

One of the things that makes our fitness community so unique are the people we attract from literally every walk of life: stay-at-home parents, retirees, elite athletes, students, CEOs, members of the armed services, firefighters, you name it. Our bodies come in every imaginable size, shape and age; and yet, our workouts are designed for anyone to do them. Yes, anyone.

  • Am I too old for this type of training?

No, we have experience working clients into their early 80s. No matter your age or fitness level, we can help you feel strong, capable and confident.

  • What will my first time in your gym be like?

Your first time in, we want you to feel comfortable. One of our awesome coaches will give you a tour of the facility, we’ll sit down with you and walk through your goals, we’ll do a quick fitness assessment with you, and walk through what you can expect once you start working out. The first meeting will not be a workout and can done in street clothes.

  • Do I need to reserve a spot or contact anyone?

If this is your very first time coming to the gym, we recommend that you schedule your free “No Sweat” Intro so that we can find out about you and your goals. This will help us decide what services best align with what you want to accomplish. Please schedule a “No Sweat” Intro, or email info@fortitudefitnesstraining.com with questions.

  • Can I do my own thing during class?

The purpose of our gym is to provide guidance to our members. Most of the time you are in the gym, you’ll either be in a class or a personal training session.

If you are interested in doing your own programming or completing our programming on your own time, we can most likely accommodate your request. Please sign up for a free “No Sweat” Intro so that we can learn about you and your goals.

  • I just relocated/looing for a new gym and I'd like to check you out prior to joining.

Whether you are experienced or brand new to fitness, you’re welcome here!  We are always looking for quality, motivated, good hearted people to workout with.

Let’s meet for a free “No Sweat” Intro consult to discuss the best path for you.

  • How often do you recommend I come to the gym?

If you’re just starting, we recommend coming three days/week for your first couple weeks, then build to four. Once you’re up to four days per week, we recommend building in two recovery days per week and one day for outdoor recreation of your choice.

  • Why is your gym more expensive than other gyms?

We know you have a lot of choices with regard to where and how to workout. What’s best… A treadmill at home? The gym down the street that is $15/month? A Fortitude Fitness Training membership?

We’d actually encourage you to ask a different question. What are your goals? Personalized attention? Trained, professional coaches? Having accountability? Working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your success? If the answer to any of the above is “yes”, then we’d encourage you to check us out.

  • What's your drop-in policy?

We love nothing more than having visitors from other gyms come workout with us! If you are just passing through, we charge a drop in fee of $25 per day. Please text us at (541) 516-0138 to schedule and pay for your drop-in, then plan on arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled class time so we can provide you with a waiver to sign and introduce you to our gym.

You may find that we do things a little differently than your home gym. We hope that you enjoy the change in scenery, clientele, maybe even music. If anything makes you uncomfortable, however, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
